Diploma Frames
This is where it all started – My diploma frame -
It now hangs on my wall at work. It weighs about 55 lbs and proves to everyone that enters that I actually did make it through school. My intention was to make it look like a section of a structural box beam.
The details: Outside dimensions are 27″x24″ with a 2″ matte and 17″x14″ diploma. It is made out of 7000psi concrete with gray cement and white & black aggregate. It is reinforced with steel channel and it hangs on a 1/4″ stainless steel cable. There are 6-#4 rebar and 8-1/2″ prestress strand that project out of the face. The inside corner has a 1/2″ chamfer and the outside edge has a 1/4″x3/4″ keyway.
This one will never be for sale, but I can make one like it for about $150.
